Herriman Utah Firefighters Say There Is An Uncontrolled Fire Burning

Authorities requested the Salt Lake County residents not to use their mobile phones to keep lines free for emergency calls as Herriman fire reaches to the residential area of Herriman.Lt. Don Hutson with Salt Lake County Sheriff’s department said that he and other officers were assisting local residents to evacuate the south of Butterfield Park Drive in Herriman, when they say homes catching fire.

There are several families in the valley, which are going to evacuate the Herriman. he recent fire in Herriman which is strengthening itself and becoming more dangerous to the residents of the Herriman. This fire caused the 1250 households to evacuated from their homes.All the residents will try to evacuate from the road and it will become very conjusted and there will be alot of traffic blocked and it.will take much time to evacuate the Herriman.Due to massive wildfire in Herriman Salt Lake county residents have been asked to stop using cell phones to free the lines in case of emergency. Salt Lake County sheriff’s Lt. Don Hutson said “It’s chaos” referring to the current situation in the area, adding that he saw some houses catching fire.

The mandatory areas to be evacuated include Butterfield Park Drive, Emmeline Drive tto Black Ridge Reservoir.Herriman fire has been spreading with high speeds, even the evacuation center has been moved to Herriman High School.According to latest reports the fire and emergency crew are unable to contain Herriman fire.No fatality has been reported up till this point by the Herriman fire.

According to the Salt Lake Tribune Reports, “Evacuations have expanded to include all addresses in a zone bounded by the county line at the south, 14000 South on the North, 5575 West on the east and 8400 West on the west, according to Herriman City emergency management coordinators. All Rose Canyon Road, south of Butterfield Park Drive (14200 South) and south of Emmeline Drive as far east as Black Ridge Reservoir were under mandatory evacuation as of 8:15 p.m., said Unified Fire Authority Capt. Brad Taylor.
