PM Gilani Requested To Defer Hearing of SC From NRO Case

Monday, September 27, 2010

ISLAMABAD, Sep 27 (APP): Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani on Monday said the government had requested the Supreme Court to defer the hearing of the NRO implementation case till the decision on it’s review appeal. “The President’s case is already under review. It would be better if the decision comes first,” the Prime Minister told mediapersons after his visit to the Railway Ministry.

The 52 page long summary, whose one copy to be presented before the SC bench on Friday, has given two pieces of advice to the prime minister, which are set to create a huge storm in the courtroom as its recommendations might not be appreciated by the judges. This summary, exclusively available with our sources, has apparently drawn battle lines between a besieged PPP government and a persistent Supreme Court.
