Syed Ali Gilani addressing a seminar in Srinagar said that the United Nations should recognise its responsibility and come forward to implement its resolutions on Kashmir so that the dispute could be resolved amicably.
He reiterated that his five minimum demands could make conducive atmosphere for dialogue and urged the Organisation of Islamic Conference OIC and Pakistan to pass resolutions to impress upon UN to implement its resolutions on Kashmir. He also demanded an international war criminal tribunal to investigate the war crimes in the territory.
The veteran Kashmiri Hurriyet leader maintained that the people of Kashmir had vowed to peacefully carry forward the ongoing movement as they had rendered matchless and unprecedented sacrifices for securing their right to self-determination and the struggle would be taken to its logical conclusion at all costs.
