TDAP to participate in 20 exhibitions in China

KARACHI: Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) will participate in more than 20 exhibitions in China with the aim to develop its as an important market for the country products. Chief executive TDAP Tariq Iqbal Puri at Korangi Association of Trade and Industry said the body was gearing up to be more responsive to the exporters’ needs and that concerted efforts were being made to speedily redress their grievances. He said TDAP has envisaged a plan endeavoring to focus on trade expansion in particular regions, using the tried and tested marketing tools of trade delegations and exhibitions. “Importers from such targeted markets shall be invited in the future exhibitions organised in Pakistan”, he added. Puri advised traders and exporters to specially focus on the markets of China and EU and to explore trade opportunities with China as Pakistan has already signed a Free Trade. Agreement with her, under which China would allow nearly 6500 items under duty concession including over 2600 items duty-free. staff report
